GoSkiathos.com Team very often will
present you a Hot or Not list of
things to do & pay attention, while you're on the island.
Skiathos Sightseeing;
start from Hora (Skiathos Town)
Chic & Traditional... if we want to give a name
to Hora (Skiathos Town) walking experience...Paved alleys, narrow
paths, flower gardens, impressive traditional house architecture. If
you try the alleys you will enjoy a more picturesque Skiathos...
Actually, the Papadiamantis
House street and the near-by alleys are full of white buildings
with small verandas and yards - of course with those blue painted
doors & windows! Try your direction to the Windmill (It's a
restaurant by now...) - the view is magnificent... & seducing...
Bourtzi: the small
fortress that
'divides' the Old port from the new port with its café - and sometimes
some music events - is a must... The monastery
of Evagelistria is
another idea worth to visit : ~4 kilometers north of Hora (Skiathos
Town), on the right turn off the ring road (after bus stop 1) and after
a long walk...

Kastro:
the
former capital a fortified rock of the 14th
century above the Hora (Skiathos Town). It was built as a refuge from
the pirates. There no buildings only ruins except of two churches are
partly saved. If you decide to go on foot its a distance of ~3 hours
long... The Hydrobiotope:
Strofilia lagoon - located south west (on the back of
Koukounaries beach) - place of exceptional natural beauty and of course
preserved under certain
E.U. environmental programs.
